Very comfortable cheap accommodation in individual bungalows. The hotel has a central building with reception and restaurant, and a garden with a pool around which some of the rooms are situated. The bungalows are basic, but clean, with satellite TV, fridge and air-conditioning. Good value for money and breakfast included in the price.
Built in 2015, this hotel is intended to look like the famous Sulamani Guphaya Temple, which is one of the major temples that people come to Bagan to see. It is located on the main road between the railway station and Nyaung U town, close to Nyaung U Airport. This is a big hotel, with some 130 rooms, that represents a big investment. This hotel will take a few years to attract the large groups that it is intended to accommodate and it may be worth taking advantage of the lower room rates being charged until that pick up in trade happens. The standard room size is a large 30 sqm, and all rooms also have a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a good range of 3 star facilities including free WiFi, bathrobes, satellite TV, in room safes and tea/coffee makers.
This is a popular small budget hotel of only 27 rooms. This is quite an old-fashioned type of 2 star hotel. Independently run, the staff make every effort to ensure that guests are looked after. On the downside the rooms and hotel overall looked dated. However, it has free WiFi, satellite TV, air-conditioning, proper beds, en-suite toilets and a restaurant. The hotel also doesn’t cost very compared to the other options in the Bagan area, and a traditional Myanmar breakfast is included in the room rate. This is a good choice for a short stay at an inexpensive price.
